We are looking forward to seeing your family at the Taos Youth and Family Center! To make sure you enjoy your first youth hockey experience, below are some helpful tips.
TIME: Try Hockey for Free starts at 8:00 am; please plan on arriving at the rink at least 30 minutes prior for check-in to get fitted with equipment.
EQUIPMENT: We will have instructors on hand to help suit up your child; you can see how the equipment goes on by checking out the How To Dress document below.
What to bring: We encourage those who have access to equipment, to please bring it. If you do not have any equipment, you will need to bring:
-A loose-fitting pair of sweatpants or snow pants(recommended).
-A pair of gloves (they don’t need to be hockey gloves- mittens are fine)
-A helmet (hockey helmet or bike helmet is OK) Skate Rental has helmets available as well.
-A hockey stick (street hockey stick is OK).
What will be provided:
We have skates and a limited amount of equipment available for you to borrow. If you have any equipment questions, please let us know.
ON-ICE EXPERIENCE: We will have plenty of coaches on hand to give your child a great youth hockey experience, they will get an opportunity to learn the basic skills of youth hockey and enjoy their first game.
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact David Taylor at (575) 779-0990 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
