It is with heavy hearts that Taos Youth Hockey Association shares with our Taos Hockey community the passing of Dave Taylor, early this past Sunday morning. 

Those who knew Dave, know that he worked tirelessly for our association. In the ten years Dave devoted of himself to TYHA, he went from simply doing the accounting for Taos Hockey, to becoming the Registrar and eventually becoming the Director of Hockey Operations. He organized events for the youth of Taos at the Taos Youth and Family Center, he organized disaster relief fund drives for communities hit by Hurricane Harvey and in his last few years with Taos Hockey, David even managed to get out on the ice and help with coaching duties in our younger skating groups. 

There was nothing that David was not willing to do for the community of Taos, our organization, or anyone in need! Although Dave was not a physical part of Taos Hockey these past few years, he has been and will always remain a part of our hockey family! Our condolences go out to David’s daughter, BreAnna, who remains a proud member of Taos Youth Hockey Association.

Donations will be accepted via Taos Hockey to help David’s family with medical and funeral expenses. Please make checks out to Taos Hockey with a notation for David Taylor and mail them to:

Santa Fe Hockey Association is pleased to announce the Spring 2022 3V3 Hockey League, a fun, competitive, and cost-effective training for LAHA, NMAHA, NMICE, NMM, SFHA, TYH players of all levels. Take your game to the next level with the 3V3 (Mites/Squirts/Peewees) and Full Ice Scrimmage (Bantam/JV/Varsity). The games will take place during six consecutive Saturdays in March and April, 3/26, 4/2, 4/9, 4/16, 4/23, 4/30 from 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM for Mites/Squirts/Peewees & 9:15 AM – 10:15 AM for Bantam/JV/Varsity. All games take place at the Genoveva Chavez Community Center. Park in the rear parking lot, use the rear door.

Why the initiative? We want youth hockey players of New Mexico to know that we are not just a youth hockey club where girls and boys play to have fun. We are an organization that offers a value proposition to all who set their hearts and minds on pursuing hockey. From the Learn To Play Little Howlers program through seeing our players to college, Santa Fe Hockey Association is here to provide opportunities for girls and boys to succeed on the ice and beyond.
