THANK YOU TO ALL OUR SLED HOCKEY VOLUNTEERS AND PARTICPANTS!

Our last sled hockey practice was this past Friday. Thank you so much to all our amazing volunteers for keeping this thing going through the ice season.

We were super lucky to have Alan join us most weeks. He has extensive knowledge of stick and puck handling and skating skills and wound up being our wonderful coach. David was also always ready to help on a last minute notice and was imperative to getting everyone fit in their gear and sleds. A huge thanks to Jay who was there every week and was willing to take a beating as the goalie (with a smile) while we flung pucks at him. Lastly to Patrick, who helped me weekly, load and unload all the gear, pick up people that needed help and make sure everyone was having a good time.

A huge thanks to The Taos Ice Tigers who were always there to help out. Brian, Melissa, and the rest of the amazing staff at The Taos Youth and Family Center were also there for us every step of the way. Thanks to Town of Taos for donating the ice time. You all made our first year run as smoothly as it possibly could.
 

We had some great participants join us throughout the season.
Ages 6-88 were on the ice and having a blast. We saw improvements to all those who attended. Stick handling and shooting became more accurate and getting around on the ice became more fluid.

We are looking forward to an even more exciting
season of Sled Hockey next year!
